Macway / Summer Sales 2019

We are still waiting for information on how to set up the 2019 Summer sales for this marketplace. Come back soon!

Here is some advice to help you prepare your sales on MacWay.

1. Configure your sales in Lengow

Sales are set up the same way as promotional offers on MacWay. Fill in the following fields (tab "Feed Management", then "Fields Matching") in Lengow:

  • "price": this field must contain your price before discount.
  • "discount_price": this field must contain your sale price.
  • "discount_start_date": this field must contain the start date of the sales period (yyyy-mm-dd format.
  • "discount_end_date": this field must contain the end date of the sales period (yyyy-mm-dd format.

Contact your MacWay account manager to make sure that your sales are correctly setup.

1.1 Configure your prices

You may have two scenarii:

  • You have a specific field within your source feed in which you export your coming sale prices without modifying your current price (those you are actually using on other channels). Match it with the "discount_price" field.

Note : If you are using one of our e-commerce plugins (Prestashop, Magento, Woo Commerce, or other…), you will not be able to get a specific field with the sale prices before the sale period begins. To get this field you need to implement a specific development on your own. Lengow will not take over this development.

OR

  • You do not have a specific field including your coming sale prices. In that case, you may create an automatic rule in order to apply a discount rate on your current prices. In the next example, we apply a 20% discount rate to the products belonging to the Desk category (pay close attention to the automatic rule condition, in order to only impact products that you want to display on sale).

1.2 Configure your dates

MacWay requests that the fields "discount_start_date" and "discount_end_date" contain the start and end date of the sales period. The dates must comply with the YYYY-MM-DD format. The "discount_start_date" field begins the promo at one minute past midnight on the starting day and the "discount_end_date" ends at one minute before midnight on the day indicated.

If you do not have this information in your source feed, please follow the steps below :

1 / Create two virtual fields "MacWay_discount_start_date" and "MacWay_discount_end_date" in the "Feed Management" tab > "Source Feed".

2 / Match those virtual fields in "Feed Management" > "Field Matching" :

  • "discount_start_date": with the virtual field "MacWay_discount_start_date"
  • "discount_end_date": with the virtual field "MacWay_discount_end_date"

3 / Create an automatic rule to complete the sales dates :

  • "MacWay_discount_start_date": with the value of "2019-06-26"
  • "MacWay_discount_end_date": with the value of "2019-08-06"

Select your sale products according the rule conditions.

Here is an example of automatic rule you could create (Note: change the data according to your source feed):

2. Check your configurations

To check that your sales are configured correctly, the following values should be displayed in the optimised feed:

  • "price" : this field must contain your crossed price.
  • "discount_price" : this field must contain your sale price.
  • "discount_start_date" : this field must contain the start date of the Sales period (yyyy-mm-dd format).
  • "discount_end_date" : this field must contain the end date of the Sales period (yyyy-mm-dd format).

For your full-priced products, the following values should be displayed in the optimised feed:

  • "price" : this field must contain your selling price.
  • "discount_price" : this field must be empty.
  • "discount_start_date" : this field must be empty.
  • "discount_end_date" : this field must be empty.

Contact your MacWay account manager to make sure that your sales are correctly setup.

We wish you a lot of success for your sales on MacWay!
