Marktplaats / Admarkt

1. Introduction - Marktplaats/Admarkt

The Admarkt API feed enables merchants to distribute their products on Unlike other online marketplaces such as eBay, orders are actually placed on your own site and you pay per click for a redirection.
Here are the steps to follow to configure your Marktplaats/Admarkt feed on Lengow.

2. Creating a Marktplaats/Admarkt feed

On the “Add a channel” page, search for the “Marktplaats Admarkt API” heading:

Alternatively, you can search for the feed in the “Marketplaces,” section, clicking through the European flag and then choosing the “Marktplaats Admarkt API” feed.

3. Configuring your Marktplaats/Admarkt feed

Marktplaats/Admarkt requires merchants to submit specific values when creating links to their products on the marketplace. You must therefore adapt the values stored by Lengow to suit.

Please take the following steps before submitting your API credentials:

• Exclude any products you do not wish to distribute via, as well as any files for lower-level product variants that your source feed may contain.
• Match up the various fields.
• Map the different categories to one another.

Once your products are published in the right categories on, it is mandatory to map the categories to ensure that your categories are aligned with those used by

This mapping is carried out by visiting Lengow’s “Product management” section:

- Open the Marktplaats/Admarkt mapping directory
- Search for your category in the directory by pressing Ctrl+F and carrying out a keyword search on the current page
- Click on the matching line
- Click on “SAVE”

If you do not carry out this mapping exercise, your products will not be published on

Note: Be careful while realising this mapping. Once your products will be online, you will not be able to change the categorisation afterwards.

  • A specific point on handling product derivatives

Marktplaats/Admarkt does not support product derivatives. As a link from takes the form of a redirection to your site, there is no need to publish all your product files if your product range features core products with lower-level derivatives. In this case, we recommend that you only submit the core, or ‘parent’ products and those that are only available in a single variant. As such, you need to exclude any derivative, or ‘child’ products that your source feed may contain.

  • Configuring your special offers and discounts

Marktplaats/Admarkt does not allow users to see the former prices struck through. In order to stimulate sales and manage promotional campaigns and sales on, change your advertisement’s title and description using automatic rules. Here is an example of an automatic rule that you could use:

IF {price} is less than {strikethrough_price}
THEN {title} equals Aanbieding: {title}
AND {description} equals Speciale Aanbieding: nu van € {strikethrough_price} voor slechts € {price}!
{Description}

Specify the sale price of your products by completing the “price” field.

  • Configuring the Options tab

In the "Options" tab of your Marktplaats/Admarkt feed, check the different data points and modify them as required.

  • Checking your values in your optimised feed

5. Withdrawing or deleting a product

If you no longer wish to distribute a product on, you can use one of two solutions available in Lengow:

  • "Replace" mode to delete products that appear on Marktplaats, but that do not appear in the optimised feed sent by Lengow to Marktplaats

"Replace" mode must be activated in the solution in the "Feed management" section under the "API Login" tab.

Activating "replace" mode means all products that appear on Markplaats, but that do not appear in the optimised Lengow feed, will be deleted automatically from the Markplaats site.

  • Regular mode to delete few or all of your products

In order to deactivate, i.e. stop selling, a product that is online on the site, you must use Marktplaats’s field "status" and fill in the “DELETED” attribute in this field.

  • You want to delete your whole catalogue:

Fill in the word "DELETED" within the "Personalized Field" column from the "Field Matching".

  • You want to delete products that are no longer in stock within your source feed:

Step 1 : Match your field quantity with the Marktplaats’s field "status" in the "Field matching" tab.

Etape 2 : Create two automatic rules:

  • If your product has a positive quantity, adapt your quantity with the value "ACTIVE".

  • If your product has no stock or a negativ stock within your source feed, adapt your quantity with the value "DELETED"

  • You want to delete only a part of your catalogue:

Step 1 Create a virtual field. Call it “Admarkt_status” within the “Feed Management” part > “Source feed” tab.

Step 2 : Match the virtual field with the field “status” in “Feed Management”, then “Field matching” tab. Save by clicking on “Save Modifications" at the bottom of the page.

Step 3 : Make one (or more) automatic rules to fill in the virtual field with the value "DELETED". To comply with the automatic rule conditions, choose the products that need to be deleted (for example, a product id or a category of your source feed). Then select the virtual field “Admarkt_status” and fill in the "DELETED" term.

Here is an example:

Warning: If a product disappears from the feed without having been sent through the "DELETED" stage, it will not be un-published on Marktplaats.
