Darty - MisterGoodDeal / Winter Sales 2020

Here is some advice so you can prepare your French Sales on Darty / MisterGoodDeal. As a reminder, since MisterGoodDeal and fnac-Darty have merged, it is now possible to sell products with one Darty feed on both Darty and MisterGoodDeal marketplaces.

As from now, you can configure your discounts by providing the dates on which your sale starts and ends.

To prepare the merchandising, Darty will ask you to :

  • contact them to discuss the best way to showcase your sale products.

1. Configuring discounts in Lengow

On Darty, discounts and promotions are configured in the same way.

For your discounted/promotional products, the following values should appear in your optimised feed:

  • "price" field: this field should contain your crossed-out price.
  • "discount_price" field: this field should contain your promotional/discounted price.

Warning: if the price indicated in the "discount_price" field is greater than or equal to the price indicated in the "price" field, Darty won't be able to update the offers (price, stock quantity ...).

Here is an example on how to proceed:

1 / Create a virtual field to enter your discounted price. We will name this virtual field "Darty_Discount_Price"

2 / In the "Matching Fields" tab, carry out the following matching:

  • "price": with your selling price

  • "discount_price": with the "Darty_Discount_Price" virtual field

3 / Create an Automatic rule for your discounted / promotional prices.

Your product will be discounted / put on promotion if the values are entered into the optimised feed as follows:

  • "price" field: the crossed-out price of the product.
  • "discount_price" field: the discounted / promotional price.

Select your discounted products under the conditions of the rule.

As a result, you should:

  • replace the value contained in your "Price" field with the value contained in your "Pricenorebate" field
  • input your "Price" field into the "Darty_Discount_Price" virtual field.

For example (Caution: change according to your Source feed’s data):

Observation 1

If your sale products appear on your source feed before the start of the sale and/or do not disappear exactly at the end of the sale, Darty recommends that you input dates in the ‘discount_start_date’ and the ‘discount_end_date’ fields.

The dates must comply with the YYYY/MM/DD format.

How to proceed:

1 / Create two virtual fields to input the dates. We will name these virtual fields:

  • ‘Dart_discount_start_date’
  • ‘Darty_discount_end_date’

2 / Create the following matching under the Matching Fields tab:

  • discount_start_date’: with the ‘Darty_discount_start_date’ virtual field
  • discount_end_date’: with the ‘Darty_discount_end_date’ virtual field

3 / Create an automatic rule for your sale prices to advise as to dates and sales:

  • ‘Darty_discount_start_date’: with the values of ‘2020/01/08’
  • ‘Darty_discount_end_date’: with the values of ‘2020/02/04’

Correctly select your sale products according the conditions of the rule.

2. Checking your configurations

To check that your discounted products are configured correctly, the following values should be displayed in the optimised feed:

  • price” field: this field must contain your crossed-out price.
  • discount_price” field: this field must contain your discounted price.
  • discount_start_date” field: this field must contain the date on which your sale starts
  • discount_end_date” field: this field must contain the date on which your sale ends

For your full-priced products, the following values should be displayed in the optimised feed:

  • price” field: this field must contain your sales price.
  • discount_price” field: this field must be empty.
  • discount_start_date” field: this field must be empty.
  • discount_end_date” field: this field must be empty.

We hope you have a good experience with your sales on Darty / MisterGoodDeal!
