FNAC / Sales

On the FNAC website, price updates are done on your 'Fnac Marketplace API' feed.

1. Lengow French sales configuration and setting

For your on sales products, the following data needs to be shown on your optimised feed:

  • The 'price' field: this field should contain the pre-sale price.
  • The 'Promotion type': this field should contain the type of promotion you wish to feature. Put 'Sales' for French sales.
  • The 'sales_period_reference': This field should show the timescale of the sale in question. Enter 'SUMMER_20'
  • The 'starts_at' field: This field should show the date and time when the promotion's due to start: 2020-07-15T00:01:00+02:00
  • The 'ends_at' field: This field should show the date and time and when the promotion's due to end: 2020-08-11T23:59:00+02:00
  • The 'discount_type' field: This field needs to show the type of price reduction offered. Put:
    • 'fixed' if the value in the 'discount_value' field is the amount of reduction that you want to apply to your price before discount
    • or 'percentage' if the value in the 'discount_value' field is the percentage of reduction based on your pre-sale price
  • The 'discount_value' field: put:
    • the amount of reduction that you want to apply to your price before discount (in that case, fill in the value 'fixed' in the 'discount_type' field (FNAC will automatically calculate the price to be displayed).
    • the percentage of reduction that you want to apply to your price before discount (in that case, fill in the value 'percentage' in the 'discount_type' field (FNAC will automatically calculate the price to be displayed).

Note: You can hold your sale for a period that's shorter than the official sale period. In this case, put the relevant dates in the 'starts_at' and 'ends_at' fields.

Here's an example of the rule :

1/ Create a virtual field to display values/data that aren't available in your product catalogue.

Here's an example on how to create a 'FNAC_discount_type' virtual field

In this example, our catalogue doesn't have the start or end dates in the format that FNAC requires. We also don't have values relating to the promotion type, sales period reference and discount type. So we've created virtual fields for each of these values.

2/ On the 'Field Matching' tab, enter the following matches :

  • 'price' with your pre-sales price
  • 'Promotion type' with the 'FNAC_Promotion_type' virtual field
  • 'sales_period_reference' with the 'FNAC_sales_period_reference' virtual field
  • 'starts_at' with the 'FNAC_starts_at' virtual field
  • 'ends_at' with the 'FNAC_ends_at' virtual field
  • 'discount_type' with the 'FNAC_discount_type' virtual field
  • 'discount_value' with the 'FNAC_discount_value' virtual field

3/ Implement an Automatic Rule for your discounted products:

Select the discounted products for which the rule applies.

2. Checking your configuration/settings

To verify that your discount settings are correct, make sure that the following values appear on the optimised feed:

  • The 'price' field: this field should contain the pre-sale price.
  • 'Promotion type' field: this field needs to contain the word 'Sales'
  • 'sales_period_reference' field: this field needs to contain the term 'SUMMER_20'
  • 'starts_at' field: this field needs to contain the following date/time: 2020-07-15T00:01:00+02:00
  • 'ends_at' field: this field needs to contain the date and time of when the promotion ends: 2020-08-11T23:59:00+02:00
  • 'discount_type' field: this fields needs to contain the term 'fixed' if the value you've put in the 'discount_value' is a price reduction or 'percentage' if the value you've put in the 'discount_value' is a percentage reduction of your pre-sales price (FNAC will automatically calculate the price to be displayed).
  • 'discount_value' field: this field needs to contain the amount of reduction you want to apply on your price before discount (if you've chosen 'fixed' in the 'discount_type' field) or the percentage reduction to be applied to your products (if you've chosen 'percentage' in the 'discount_type' field)

For non-sale goods, the following values need to appear in the optimised feed:

  • 'price' field: this field needs to contain the product's full price.
  • 'Promotion type' field: this field should be left empty.
  • 'sales_period_reference' field: this field should be left empty.
  • 'starts_at' field: this field should be left empty.
  • 'ends_at ' field: this field should be left empty.
  • 'discount_type' field: this field should be left empty.
  • 'discount_value' field: this field should be left empty.

Happy Sales with La FNAC!
