Galeries Lafayette / Sales

As from now, you can configure your discounts by providing the dates on which your sales offers starts and ends so that Galeries Lafayette can prepare the merchandising.

Here are some tips to prepare your 2020 summer sales on this marketplace.

Galeries Lafayettes offers 3 commercial operations: 

  • Avant-Première SOLDES PE20 (Sales Preview): July 1 to July 14 
  • SOLDES PE20: from July 15 to August 11 
  • Petits Prix PE20 (Small Prices): from August 12 to August 23 

In order to participate in these operations, the following criteria must be respected: 

  •  At least -15% discount in crossed out prices. 
  • Only Spring-Summer 2020 and "intemporels"collections are accepted. 

Please notify your account manager once your settings have been made.

1. Setting up "Avant-Première" operation in Lengow

The Preview Sales from 01/07 to 14/07 inclusive, are dedicated only to customers with a gallerylafayette.com account. 
The configuration of an AVP item will require filling in the following 4 attributes:

  • "Price-VP": the regular price which will be crossed out 
  • "Discount-start-date-VP": 2020-07-01 
  • "Discount-end-date-VP": 2020-07-14 
  • "Discount-price-VP": the discounted price 

To participate in this operation, send your completed EAN list no later than JUNE 24, 2020 and your settings no later than JUNE 26, 2020.

Note: The matrix of the EAN listing was sent to you by Galeries Lafayettes in an email. Contact your Galeries Lafayettes account manager for more information.

2. Setting up "SALES" operation in Lengow


The configuration of a Sales item will require filling in the following 4 attributes in Lengow: 

  • "Price": ie the regular price which will be crossed out 
  • "Discount-start-date": 2020-07-15 
  • "Discount-end-date": 2020-08-11 
  • "Discount-price": ie the discounted price 

You will find below the three markdowns applied to Galeries Lafayette during the Sales (it's up to you to adapt or not): 

  • Mark 1 - up to -50%: from July 15 to July 17 
  • Mark 2 - up to -60%: from July 18 to July 27 
  • Mark 3 - up to -70%: from July 28 to August 11 

To participate in this operation, send your EAN listing (see matrix in PJ) completed no later than JULY 8 and your settings no later than JULY 10.

2.1 Create virtual fields

At the level of "Feed Management" > "Source feed", create three virtual fields that you can name:

  • GL_discount_start_date
  • GL_discount_end_date
  • GL_code_manif (not useful for sales period, but could be used for other commercia operations).

2.2 Field Matching

At the level of "Feed Management" > "Field Matching", match the following fields:

  • price” field: with the field from your source feed that contains your crossed-out prices. (Note: for full-priced products, this field must contain your sales price. Use an automatic rule to enter your non-discounted sales prices if needed). 
  • discount_price” field: with the field from your source feed that contains your discounted prices. 
  • discount_start_date” field: with the virtual field "GL_discount_start_date"
  • discount_end_date” field: with the virtual field "GL_discount_end_date"
  • "code_manifestation" field: with the virtual field "GL_code_manif"

2.3 Automatic Rules

At the level of "Feed Management" > "Automatic Rules", create the following automatic rules:

1 / For your full-priced products

For your full-priced products, enter your sales price in the "price" field and empty the "discount_price" field. 

Having completed the "Field Matching" in Step "1.2 Field Matching", the automatic rule that will be applied is as follows:

Note: Adapt the condition for the fields in accordance with the data from your source feed in order to target your full-priced products.

2 / For your discounted products

For your discounted products, fill in the virtual fields:

  • "GL_discount_start_date": with the start date of sales period
  • "GL_discount_end_date": with the end date of sales period
  • "GL_code_manif": has to be empty for Sales

Note: Adapt the condition for the fields in accordance with the data from your source feed in order to target your discounted products.

2.4 Checking your configurations

To check that your discounted products are configured correctly, the following values should be displayed in the optimised feed:

  • price” field: this field must contain your crossed-out price.
  • discount_price” field: this field must contain your discounted price.
  • discount_start_date” field: this field must contain the date on which your sale starts.
  • discount_end_date” field: this field must contain the date on which your sale ends.
  • "code-manifestation" field: has to be empty for Sales

For your full-priced products, the following values should be displayed in the optimised feed:

  • price” field: this field must contain your sales price.
  • discount_price” field: this field must be empty.
  • discount_start_date” field: this field must be empty.
  • discount_end_date” field: this field must be empty.
  • "code-manifestation" field: this field must be empty.

3. Setting up your "PETITS PIX" operation

The configuration of Petit Prix items will require filling in the following 4 attributes in Lengow: 

  • "Price": ie the regular price which will be crossed out 
  • "Discount-start-date": 2020-08-12 
  • "Discount-end-date": 2020-08-23 
  • "Discount-price": ie the discounted price 


To participate in this operation, send to your Galeries Lafayette account manager your EAN listing completed no later than AUGUST 5 and your settings no later than AUGUST 7. 

If you wish to participate in the Sales AND the Low Prices, you can directly configure your offers as follows: 

  • "Discount-start-date": 2020-07-15 
  • "Discount-end-date": 2020-08-23
