Some channels do not allow us to use our Lengow tracking because we cannot encode the URL to track clicks. So we add parameters in the products URL to be able to track clicks and we add a specific tag: tos.js.
Note: the tag tos.js must be used with TagClassic.
1. Tag installation
You need to place this piece of code on each page of your website before the ending tag </body>:
- On HTTP Pages:
- On HTTPS Pages:
2. Tracking parameters
Lengow adds a tracking parameter called LGWCODE. This parameter contains a value similar to “999;77777;456”.
These tracking parameters must be kept once a customer clicks on one of your product URLs.
How to test it?
- Copy a link from your optimised feed (with the LGWCODE parameters).
- Paste it in your browser and validate to simulate a click.
Once on your website, verify that you still have the LWGCODE parameters in the URL of your browser.
If the LGWCODE parameters are not visible, we will not be able to track clicks and sales. If this happens, please check your redirection parameters on your website.
If you need further assistance on this, please contact our Lengow support.
